Bringing Scientology to the Philippines

The Philippines is a country of nearly 70 million people, and like any other area of the world it has its problems: drugs, illiteracy, overcrowded prisons, the homeless, and declining moral standards.
Its a society of striking social contrasts, where glittering malls stand side by side with slums, and where a favored few enjoy a life of luxury while the vast majority contend with a daily struggle for basic subsistence. This is a place in desperate need of both the individual and the social solutions provided by Mr. Hubbards technology

Over the past few years Scientologists have been at work in the Philippines on projects to help homeless street children, and to increase moral standards within the community at large. Recently Scientologists from Australia and the United States went to the capital city, Manilla, where they introduced Dianetics technology through lectures and seminars.
As a result there is now a Dianetics group in the Philippines, and two members of this group are in training at the Scientology Mission of Bangkok, Thailand. Following their training they will return to open the first Mission in Manilla.
