Mike Rinder is the Executive Director of the Church of Scientology International’s Office of Special Affairs. This division of the Church oversees corporate, legal and public relations matters and coordinates these for all Churches of Scientology around the world.

Mr. Rinder has represented the Church in editorial board meetings with major media and coordinated newspaper, magazine and television relations for the church. He has presented international briefings and seminars on Scientology.

An ordained Scientology minister, he is also a director of the Church of Scientology International.

Raised as a Scientologist in Australia, he has served as a Church staff member since 1973, and he worked directly with L. Ron Hubbard.

A senior Church official since the mid-1970s his first involvement with the Church’s external affairs came in 1980 when he took part in a series of projects designed to reorganize the legal and public affairs representation of the Church. In 1985, he was assigned responsibility for all Church legal and public affairs in the United States.

In 1987, his duties were extended to encompass responsibility for the external affairs of Scientology internationally.
