What does Scientology do to protect the environment?

Individual churches and their parishioners are very active in local environmental campaigns, including recycling projects, public park cleanups, removal of graffiti, murals projects that beautify inner-city streets and highways, Earth Day educational campaigns and community clean-up campaigns, and projects in various cities in Europe to round up and safely dispose of hypodermic syringes discarded by drug addicts in parks.

Do doctors, schools, social workers, businessmen and other professional people use L. Ron Hubbard’s technology?

Yes, they do. Members of all these professions use Mr. Hubbard’s technology to improve their lives and the lives of those they are helping or working with.

Schools and universities in many countries apply his study methods to improve literacy and teaching success, drug rehabilitation groups use his drug rehabilitation technology to successfully get people off drugs, doctors observe basic Dianetics principles to speed up the recovery of their patients, and businessmen apply L. Ron Hubbard’s administrative procedures to create thriving businesses.

Mr. Hubbard’s technologies apply to all spheres of life and uniformly get results when standardly used. Therefore, in virtually every area of social or community concern will be people using some aspect of these technologies.

Why do some people oppose Scientology?

There are certain characteristics and mental attitudes that cause a percentage of the population to oppose violently any betterment activity or group. This small percentage of society (roughly 2 percent) cannot tolerate that Scientology is successful at improving conditions around the world. This same 2 percent is opposed to any effective self-betterment activity. The reason they so rabidly oppose Scientology is because it is doing more to help society than any other group. Those who are upset by seeing man get better are small in number compared to the millions who have embraced Scientology and its efforts to create a sane civilization and more freedom for the individual.
