THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY INTERNATIONAL NEW YEAR’S MESSAGE
We of the Church of Scientology International extend our warmest greetings and postulates for a flourishing and prosperous New Year for everyone.
The aims of Scientology are "a civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights and where man is free to rise to greater heights."
We accomplish these aims through the activities of our Churches and by making our effective solutions available to everyone through our social betterment programs.
2005 was an epic year for the Scientology religion. It was a year in which we expanded into more than 6,000 churches, missions and groups in 159 countries; a year in which our corps of 60,000 Volunteer Ministers traveled more than 90,000 miles to bring effective help to 1.6 million people from Sri Lanka to Louisiana; and a year in which 23.5 million people learned about Scientology by visiting our Internet sites.
Our social betterment programs continued to grow at an unprecedented rate in every corner of the globe with 64 million copies of L. Ron Hubbard's moral code, The Way to Happiness, placed into people's hands in dozens of languages; thousands of drug addicts rehabilitated through Narconon, Criminon programs now in nearly 2,000 prisons, and with 2.2 million children using L. Ron Hubbard's study technology.
It was also a year in which we launched an unprecedented worldwide human rights education campaign.
It is our pledge to make 2006 even brighter and better for everyone.
As L. Ron Hubbard wrote, "Never regret yesterday. Life is in you today, and you make your tomorrow."
That is our New Year’s wish to you.
Sincerely,
Church of Scientology International
