The Reverend Heber Jentzsch, President of the Church of Scientology International participated in Sri Shivarathreshwara Shivayogigala Jathta Mahothsava, the 13th annual religious festival held this year in Suttur, India.
Rev. Jentzsch, honored to be one of the guest speakers relayed to the thousands of attendees his strong belief that the spiritual East and the scientific West, together, hold the answers to mankind’s problems. He also delivered a special message to the people in their native tongue of Kannada, which was warmly acknowledged by the crowd. Attendees were invited and later toured through an exhibit by Scientology Volunteer Ministers in India. These volunteers have been actively helping tsumani victims for the last five weeks.
Rev. Jentzsch joined the three hundred religious leaders and distinguished speakers of the festival at the invitation of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji. Speakers and honored guests included the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Krishna; Sri Chennabasava Rejendra Swamiji of Gavi Mutt Samsthana; the Managing Director of the State Bank of Mysore, Y. Vijayananda; Member of the Legislative Assembly, Mahima Patel; and the former Mayor.
As an ambassador of the Church of Scientology International, Rev. Jentzsch paid his deepest respects to Shivarathreshwara Shivayogigala Swamiji and honored Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji of Suthur Veera Simhasana Mutt, Mysore remarking that “the spirit and wisdom of your founder is carried forward today by your Holiness.”
