Scientology Volunteer Ministers hold seminars on methods to assist people

On Sunday, January 16, 2005 in a huge gym at Los Angeles Southwest College, Rev. Heber Jentzsch, President of the Church of Scientology International, delivered the opening prayer at the Interfaith Prayer Breakfast honoring Martin Luther King Jr held on Community Day.
The thousands attending the festivities spilled over to an adjoining parking lot that had been transformed to celebrate the day.
There were booths and activities set up everywhere and the Scientology Volunteer Ministers’ booth was among the throng. By noon, over 300 people had visited the booth to get more information about what the Scientology volunteers do. Many interested people were given stress tests, told about the Dianetics book and shown information on many of the different counseling and social betterment services the Volunteer Ministers perform.
The Church of Scientology of Los Angeles, located on Sunset Blvd. and L. Ron Hubbard Way, has a team of Volunteer Ministers that you will find doing anything from giving Dianetics counseling to tutoring children with literacy problems, to giving blood or helping traumatized people at the scene of a fire.
The Church of Scientology of Los Angeles’ corps of Scientology Volunteer Ministers are on call 24 hours a day to bring effective help whenever and wherever it is needed. Their motto is “Something can be done about it.”
