The Scientology Religion

If things were a little better known and understood, L. Ron Hubbard declared, we would all lead happier lives — and nothing better underscores those words than Scientology itself.

At this dawning of the twenty-first century, scientific and technological advances have far outdistanced the humanities. Yet while those advances have provided the technology to explore the surface of a planet 200 million miles away, or map the blueprint of a body, they have not solved the human misery that pervades whole countries, nor the scourge of drugs that ruins millions of lives daily. Instead, they have spawned weapons of such magnitude that could destroy the entire planet in moments. And in the midst of all of this, Man's age-old questions go unanswered: Who am I? Where do I come from? And why am I here?

But Scientology, born in the crucible of the technological age and developed with the same scientific methodologies of research, has the answers to those ancient questions, real answers that work. While founded in the tradition of the world's great religions, it is the first practical religion. Firmly based on fundamental principles, precision axioms and basic laws of human behavior, here are the means for Man to know himself and, in knowing himself, to know and understand others and, ultimately, life itself.
