SOUTH AFRICA UNITED NATIONS WORLD SUMMIT
When the United Nations held its World Summit convention in Johannesburg, South Africa in September of 2002, teams of Volunteer Ministers were requested to help the 2,600 out-of-town policemen brought in to handle security for the World Summit in Johannesburg. They set up, in the hotel housing these policemen, and provided hundreds of Scientology assists (simple procedures that help an individual recover from shock, grief, pain and exhaustion) to police officers working under highly stressful conditions to prevent acts of terrorism at the UN Summit. The Director of the Police Support Headquarters, Rino Naidoo, acknowledged the Volunteer Ministers for their help to the police force during this international event.
