GOMA, CONGO – VOLCANIC ERUPTION

When a volcano erupted about 30 miles from Goma, in the Republic of Congo, the lava stream destroyed about 90% of the city leaving the population in total distress. Volunteer Ministers got into contact with the Ministry of Social Affairs in Goma and an agreement was made that the Scientology Volunteer Ministers would help with the clean-up of the area where Goma would be rebuilt. A total of 127 Volunteer Ministers from many areas of Africa worked on the clean-up, delivered food to the people in need, and provided assists (simple procedures that help an individual recover from shock, grief, pain and exhaustion).
