Young Drug-Free Marshals contribute to a variety of community betterment projects in cities throughout Canada, such as local clean-up efforts to clean up graffiti and beautify the city.
Canadian city officials have lent their support to the campaign. In eleven cities in the province of Ontario, mayors have proclaimed March 13 L. Ron Hubbards birthday Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life Day in their cities, commemorating the Churchs campaign. The mayor of Brampton, Ontario specifically commended the Church for helping educate communities toward an understanding that to achieve their goals, they must be drug-free.
Drug-Free Marshals were given a special award.

In Canada, Scientologists founded the national Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life and Drug-Free Marshals campaigns, which serves as a key force in turning youth away from drugs before they start.
The campaign gained the support and participation of entertainment and sports figures because of their appeal to youth such as the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team, the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team, the Toronto Argonauts and the Saskatchewan Roughriders football teams, all of whom signed the Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life Honor Roll.
