The Mission Director was joined by the mayor and the president of the Utah Eagle Forum, Gayle Ruzicka, in cutting the ribbon, officially opening the new Church of Scientology Mission of Salt Lake City.

SALT LAKE CITY — The newest Church of Scientology Mission in the United States, the Mission of Salt Lake City, was welcomed to its home in style.
Mayor Rocky Anderson, guest speaker at the Grand Opening, who described the Scientology religion as a "beacon of spirituality" and a "beacon of health and nurturing," helped cut the ribbon, signifying the official opening of the mission.
He was joined in the festivities by the President of the Utah Eagle Forum, Gayle Ruzicka, who expressed what this occasion meant to her when she said, “What a great blessing this will be for the City of Salt Lake to have you here.”
Traditionally, Scientology missions reach out into their communities to bring new people into contact with Scientology.
Mission Director, Cyndy Wright, has dreamed of opening a mission in Salt Lake City for many years. "We have tools to help you handle life," she said. "People don't know where to get those tools. That's why we wanted to establish a mission."
People of all faiths are invited to visit the mission at 353 E. 400 South in Salt Lake City, to learn how Scientology technology can help them improve their lives.
